Marina di Pietrasanta

MARINA DI PIETRASANTA is a seaside town in Versilia and it is located near Forte dei Marmi.

It is formed by three areas: Fiumetto, Tonfano and Focette, and it is a very nice touristic centre where it is possible to enjoy a relaxing and funny holiday with family.

5Km of fine beach, restaurants and children's playground:

The beach extends for 5km: this is impressive for people who come here for the first time. There are a lot of private beaches that are well spaced to give tourists privacy even in the high season, when places are fully crowded. Moreover, several beaches are equipped with a café, a swimming-pool, restaurants, a parking and an entertainment area for children. The water of sea is crystalline and it has got a seabed that gently descends so even less expert people can swim without any dangers.

Getting around by bicycle: the Versilia cycle path.

The promenade gives access to beaches and offers a straight bike path that links Marina di Pietrasanta to other important towns like Pietrasanta, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. On the contrary, if you go to the internal town, You will be fascinated by the residential look of this city, full of elegant villas with big gardens, parks, hotels and tennis courts.

In the centre of Tonfano You will find lots of shops, pizzerias, ice cream shops, small parks for children and the wonderful pier. Shopping lovers can enjoy themselves and go to the street market every Saturday in the morning: here they can buy clothes and linen for house.

The Versiliana Park:

Sporty people who really love jogging can go to Apua Avenue in Fiumetto, where Versiliana park extends (the only testimony of the ancient vegetation of Marina di Pietrasanta) and links to Forte dei Marmi. This big pinewood offers a big natural and environmental richness with its pines, holm oaks, alders and its undergrowth, while its riverfront is full of little turtles. This wonderful park offers also a show called “Festival La Versilian”, that every summer proposes a theater program composed by prose, ballets, concerts and cabaret.

Near theatre exhibitions are often shown in the villa where Gabriele D'Annunzio lived for a period. From park, walking along Apua Avenue, You can get to Pietrasanta, thas is far only 3,5 km.
